Richard Mosse’s use of military-grade technology in Incoming contrasts the brutality of war with mesmerizing visuals, making unseen conflicts strikingly palpable. His monochromatic images on silver screens evoke an eerie yet captivating atmosphere, drawing viewers into reflection. The beauty in his work lies in its presentation, allowing subtle imagery to convey profound messages.

Similarly, Gabriel Stunz’s collection reinterprets classic garments with modern, structured silhouettes. Collars rise toward the chin, seams emphasize shape, and tailoring contrasts boxy coats with fluid bottoms. Using high-tech fabrics from military suppliers—resin-coated cottons, recycled polyamides, and oiled linens—his designs integrate advanced materials without glorifying war. Instead, they provide protection and shelter, placing the human experience at the center. Minimal functional details enhance aesthetics, while transparent mesh structures garments, symbolizing the essentials one carries.

Both Mosse and Stunz highlight sensitivity and awareness, using technology to explore protection and human resilience in their respective mediums.
